2. Bayezid Complex

The 2nd Bayezid Complex, located in Edirne, is among the most valuable buildings of the city.This place can also be thought of as a broad complex.There are many sections from the mosque to the medical madrasah, from the kitchen to the hammam in the complex.Unlike its similars, the 2nd Beyazid Complex which spreads over a large area was opened to service in 1488.The complex, which was built for four years, was unearthed by the efforts of Architect Hayreddin.This place is considered to have a pretty aesthetic architecture.There are dozens of large and small domes in the region. Visitors often turn to the monumental mosque, although there are many interesting artifacts inside the complex.Next to this historic mosque, which has two minarets and has a height of 20 meters, shelters built during the period for housing the homeless (tabhane) are lined up. All these sections open outwards.Triangle-shaped dome pieces (pandantif) are used to provide the transition between them. The mihrab, made of marble, has a very simple appearance.It is known as the first example in the city in terms of the section of worship reserved for Sultans (Hünkar (His Majesty's) mahfili).Late Baroque style decorations give the work a very different dimension.However, some believe that the decorations in this area damage the naturalness of the structure. A stylish marble fountain awaits you in the portico courtyard of the front section.In the western part of the mosque, Darüşşifa medical Madrasa attracts attention.The purpose of the first establishment of the complex was to provide the city with a hospital.This madrasa has a large domed section and the bottom of it looks directly at the fountain.The base section consists entirely of marble structure. In the library section of the complex, lists of the officers who worked at that time and their daily work are written.According to the information here, it indicates that there are many employees from dead body bather to majordomo, from the chief physician to the cook in the Darüşşifa medical Madrasa.The first part of darüşşifa consists of polyclinics, kitchens and staff rooms.The second section contains a drug store where the staff may be involved.The final section includes bedrooms and special music scenes.
