Ekmekçizade Ahmet Paşa Caravanserai is also known among the people as Ayşe Women's Inn. Located in the Yancıkçı Şahin neighborhood in the Ayşekadın District of Edirne, the caravanserai is frequently visited by local and foreign tourists. It is said that the caravanserai was built by Ekmekçizade Ahmet Pasha in 1609. In the construction of Ekmekçizade Ahmet Paşa Caravanserai, the signatures of Sedefkar Mehmed Agha and Hacı Şaban Agha which one of the important architects of Edirne, are found. After the caravanserai is completed, it is presented directly to Sultan Ahmed as a gift. The date of construction of the caravanserai and the information about the architect is written in the inscription. Ekmekçizade Ahmet Paşa Caravanserai is located in an opposite position with Ayşekadın mosque. Therefore, visitors coming to the Inn have a chance to visit more than one historical site in the same area. During the construction process of the caravanserai, mainly cut stones and wood materials are used. Ekmekçizade Ahmet Paşa Caravanserai consists of two separate divisions in total. The first part draws attention as a rectangular structure. The top of this place is covered with a sloping wooden roof. The other section is surrounded by a large courtyard just in front of it. Several shops in the outer area surround this section. A total of 21 units are found around the courtyard today. Their shells can be placed so that they are curved. There is no harmony and unity of plan between this rationale and the buttons. Some of the shops in this area have recently been restored. These are restored to fit with round arches built of cut stone and brick. Placed cradle vaults change the face of the huts. One of the shops has an octagonal dome with pulleys. Ekmekçizade Ahmet Paşa Caravanserai has a distinct place within the Ottoman Khans, especially in terms of settlement style. Ekmekçizade Ahmet Paşa Caravanserai, which makes a difference especially with its architectural style, is often likened to the famous caravanserai in Büyükçekmece. It also overlaps architecturally with the Piri Mehmed Pasha Caravanserai located in the Silivri region. The caravanserai, which has been repaired many times in time, is now used as PTT's garage.
