Visitors to Çanakkale do not only encounter places in the city that are at the center of heroic stories. Çanakkale's deep-rooted history promises more options to visitors. Köprülü Mehmet Pasha Mosque, one of the historical places of the city, is exactly one of these places. The mosque was rebuilt by Köprülü Mehmet Pasha instead of the Mıhçı Mosque, which was destroyed by the Venetians. According to the information obtained, this historical mosque was rebuilt in 1655. It is not known exactly when the original mosque was built. Because the mosque does not have an epitaph that has survived to this day. The mosque is repaired many times in its historical adventure. The eaves and doors are made of cut stones. The minaret with 62 steps was rebuilt in 1965. Six columns stand the women's section. Köprülü Mehmet Pasha Mosque is still open for worship today. Those who want to visit the mosque will have to reach Murat Bey Street in Bozcaada district.
