Antalya Stadium

The decals of football seasons in Europe and Turkey are colorful as they can be in Antalya. Antalya, famous for its warm climate, facilities and modern urban texture, was among the first choices of many local and foreign football clubs for camping, but the renovation of the historic stadium in the city was necessary. In addition, Antalyaspor needed a modern stadium to host league matches, in this context, the Antalya Stadium, which was completed between 2013 and 2015, is one of the symbol points of the city today. The stadium, with a capacity of 33 thousand 32 people, has an arena-like, round design with reference to the ancient theatres in the Mediterranean. With its bleachers and reinforced concrete stadium body made of precast elements in order to be lighter, the steel construction roof stands out with its aesthetic appearance. The Antalya Stadium is an example, especially with the solar panels used as a first in Turkey on its roof. These panels generate 7200 kilowatts of energy per day and not only meet the entire stadium's electricity requirement, but also meet the needs of more than 500 homes in the city. On the other hand, the roof of the eco-friendly stadium, which has a high sun permeability, contributes to the grass being more vibrant. The total construction area of the stadium, which has a project cost of 103 million TL, is 200 thousand square meters. The stadium ,which has 44 lodges, is defined by ‘3’, which means ‘intermediate’ level in the UEFA stadium classification. Besiktas and Antalyaspor played the opening match at the Antalya Stadium in 2015-16 season.
