11.01.2024 09:48
The private museum, located in Ankara Castle in Altindag District of Ankara, houses thousands of historical artifacts from the extensive collection of Yüksel Erimtan, founding president of the Association of Collectors of Cultural Assets. Valuable jewelry, coins, especially Roman rings, stones, household items, vases, spoons, as well as a wide range of collection pieces can be seen up close.
The Museum of Anatolian Civilizations and the Erimtan Archeology and Art Museum, which are located very close to the Koç Museum, also give diversity to the cultural-art activities in the region. The special Erimtan Archeology and Art Museum, which has an important position in terms of Ankara's tourism potential, is not only a monumental venue but also has multi-purpose features. In this context, it stands out with its colourful events, concerts, workshops, cafes for relaxation and educational programmes for children over four years old. The museum is also highly sophisticated with its careful understanding of the exterior perception of three historic Ankara houses and its modern handling of the interior.
