Lycian Way

The Lycian Way, which offers endless blue and unique views of the Mediterranean in the Four Seasons, is cited by various global magazines and websites as the best walking route in the world. The Lycian Way, which starts from Ovacık (Hisaronu) in Fethiye province of Muğla, has a total length of 555 kilometers. Those who wish the Lycian Way, which starts from Ovacık and ends at Geyikbayırı village in Antalya province, can start from Antalya and end at Fethiye. This historical road, which shares its borders with Muğla-Köyceğiz to the west, Burdur-Gölhisar to the North, and Antalya to the East, is located on the Teke Peninsula, but is called Lycia in the ancient geography. More than 20 ancient cities are found on the hiking route, whose name comes from the Lycians. Oludeniz, Fethiye, Butterfly Valley, Yediburunlar,, Patara Beach with a length of 18 kilometers which is one of the world's longest natural beaches, Korsan Cove, Finike, Demre, Kekova, Kas, Kalkan, Gelidonya Lighthouse known as Turkey’s beautiful lighthouse,Moses (Olympus) Mount, Adrasan, Mount Tahtali with 2 366 thousand-metre peaks, Beldibi, Göynük Canyon, Kesme Boğaz and the most touristic places in the country such as Tekirova will be encountered. In order to emjoy sun, sea and sand trio, relax, camping, swimming, trekking and many more activities to participate in, there are the preferred restaurants along the Lycian Way, beach and various accommodation facilities. In addition to the ruins of Letoon and Xanthos, which are also inscribed on the UNESCO World Heritage List, there are also Sidyma, Pydnai, Patara, Phellos, Antiphellos, Apllania, Sebada, Aperlai, Simena, Teimussa, Sura, Andriake, Myra, Gagai, Belos, Olympos, Melanippe, Yanartas (Chimera), Gedelme Castle, Alakilise and Delikkemer hosted by Lycian Way, there are also red and white lines marked every 50 and 200 meter intervals on the Lycian Way.
