The türkü bars occupy therefore the top of the list of ‘’the best venues’’.

In a city like Van boasting many locations with wonderful views, the venues with terraces are certainly always full of people… While young people enjoy the rhythm of life in venues in Kültür Street offering live music, older ladies and gentlemen take part in night gatherings, a tradition in the region. 

Van Is Host To The First Festival In Eastern Provinces 

Just imagine all the provinces in eastern Turkey! Now, look at Van on the map… Do you know that Van is host to the first-ever music festival in eastern provinces? With all its resonance, flavour, enthusiasm, and rhythms, the first music festival of the east was held here in Van… Even the name of the festival, GezginFest Van (GlobetrotterFest Van), intends to warm the hearts of people. But caution is advised if you want to visit the city at festival time. The latest event was held in June 2019, but it is not certain when the next one would be organised.
