In Edirne, unique with its historical, cultural and human experience and differing from many other cities, the traces of Christians and Jews still survive. 

Aimed to establish a ‘Tolerance Paradise’, the Ottoman Empire allowed its people from different religions and any ethnic origin to perform their faiths comfortably. It also did its best to enable them to hand down their culture to the next generations without being assimilated. In this regard, although the Ottoman Empire was a Muslim state since its foundation, it opened its doors to numerous different ethnic identities and different beliefs even in its capital.

The fact that today the city is both a border city, being a gateway to Europe and hosting many different people has made Edirne more scholar day by day. 

Well, what we did in this route? Let us tell. 

We have prepared a route consisting of place of worships of Christians and Jewish people in Edirne.  

On our route, which starts with an excellent breakfast next to the river, you will go to the churches, as well as to the synagogue, one of the most prominent historical buildings of the city. In between, you will take a look at the caravanserai, which stands in all its glory, you will do a little shopping, and you will also taste the famous local flavor of this city. Moreover, it is possible to do all of them before the end of a full day.
