Historical Karataş Hoşgör Bathhouse

The exact construction year of this structure is not known, but it is estimated that the waters in it have been running since the 18th century. Even though the original structure of the building has partially changed over time due to renovations, the bathhouse has survived in its traditional fabric.
Karantina Bathhouse

For this bathhouse in the quarter of Karantina still in operation, there are two assumptions with respect to its construction date: According to the first assumption, it was built simultaneously with the Quarantine Building in 1844. The aim was to prevent the contagious diseases to be transmitted by passengers who arrive in the city on ships in that period. The second assumption is that it was built at the same year in which the building that today houses the Mithatpaşa Vocational School for Technical & Industrial Professions.

Karşıyaka (Alibey) Bathhouse

It is estimated that the building that houses Alibey Bathhouse based on a different layout due to the location of its plot dates back to 19th century. The service in the bathhouse also focuses on the intimacy of the customers with employees who are good-humoured and always ready to assist customers… Alibey Bathhouse is one of the most beautiful bathhouses in İzmir.
Tevfikpaşa Bathhouse

The bathhouse built of rubble stone and bricks has a different ground plan. Its inscription has not survived, but it presumably dates back to 19th century. The tulips on the walls of the bathhouse located next to the Mosque of Hasan Hoca gives it a fanciful and authentic appearance.
Lüks (Luxury) Bathhouse (Kadı Bathhouse)

The construction year of the Lüks Bathhouse is not known. The structure built of cut stones presumably in 18th century bases on a double bath ground plan. The bathhouse that is one of the most popular bathhouses in İzmir has survived in good condition.
